This is a coral composite flat coin. Coral composite is powdered coral which is then bound with resin, possibly dyed, and formed into shapes. It has a sheen to it, rather than a high polish. Coral has been a controlled and protected stone as it is not considered sustainable to farm it in any way. It should be noted that this is not new material, it is more than 20 years old.
