Named after its source in Labrador, Canada, Labradorite has universal and lasting appeal, with its fascinating colour and optical effects.  It's called labradorescence, that shimmer on the stone that changes with light and movement, and these flashes of colour can be blues, yellows, greens, and oranges.  I prefer the blue-green iridescence and my customers seem to as well, so that is the material I carry.  The stones displaying colour play ranging from a bright aqua to a deep cobalt blue, and all stones are full of flash, working as well on a vertical as a horizontal plane.  Plenty of other sources than Canada these, days, and this is Brazilian and Indian material.
